Recruiting can be a tough field. If you’re not careful, it can wear on you emotionally, psychologically, and physically. As recruiters, we are in a world that constantly seeks more, more, and more. Send more candidates, fill more positions, and schedule more interviews … and the list goes on and on.
We operate in a field that rarely gets a public thank you for the work that we do. Yet, we carry the weight of whatever company or client we serve on our shoulders.
Fault is laid at the feet of the recruiters for the revenue lost until the vacancies are filled. Why? Because it is the recruiters responsibility to fill the vacancies.
So, if you want to hear about ways to gain recognition in your recruiting arena, this is not for you. However, if you want a little encouragement to keep up the good fight, then keep reading.
Whether or not you are aware, there are many ways in which you are actually receiving a “silent” thank you and you don’t even know it.
These are just a few of the ways that we receive a “silent” thank you from our clients and candidates.
So today and moving forward, take a moment, reflect on all of the keys roles and activities on which you make an impact every day and know that while the thank you may not be public, your work has not gone unnoticed. Make an effort to remember there are many different forms of a “silent” thank you and I assure you, that your days will be fulfilled, energized, and motivated.
