Imagine the Sourcer as a treasure-hunting wizard, armed with a magical map, using spells (Boolean strings) and enchanted tools (contact finders) to find hidden gems. Extremely agile, swift folks, capable of working with fragments or flawed versions of the necessary spell words.
The Hiring Manager is like the king or queen of a dynamically growing kingdom, choosing the bravest heroes and heroines to join their court. They wield a magical scepter (decision power) and ensure each new recruit fits in with the castle’s vibe. Some of them know the ghosting spell.
A Purple Squirrel is the unicorn of candidates, possessing a mindblowing mix of skills and attributes. Picture a creature that can juggle flaming swords, speak every language, and perform magic—so rare it’s practically a legend told around coffee machines.
Boolean Search is like casting a powerful spell from an ancient book. By chanting incantations like AND, OR, and NOT, the Sourcer can conjure the exact treasure they seek from a bottomless well of information (sometimes the well is not working, also known as ‘LinkedIn glitch’, see later).
