I don’t talk about eQuest much. It’s old. It’s boring. It does the dirty job of compliance and distribution while the recruitment world focuses on sexy tech like chatbots and messaging. It’s the low-risk stock that returns 5 percent year-in, year-out without fanfare.
The company, which was founded in 1994, says it focuses on innovation, but it sure doesn’t know how to show it. Twitter hasn’t been used since last year. Also, I’m not even sure it knows how to post to its Facebook page.
Nevertheless, a recent announcement caught my attention.
Beginning October 1, jobs that are distributed through the eQuest’s Blast! Network will be posted onto Facebook Jobs. Customers can post unlimited jobs for free onto the world’s most popular social network. Jobs appear on and link to your corporate Facebook Page.
Jobs show up on your Page, as well as the job tab, and in the growing Marketplace. After posting, employers can track applications, contact candidates, and schedule interviews through Facebook Messenger or an applicant-tracking solution.
The Blast! Network is a group of free job boards and career sites where eQuest customers can post an unlimited amount of openings at no cost, aside from the membership fee. Google for Jobs is in the network as well, making the product a nice one-two punch to get employers onto Google and Facebook in a turnkey fashion.
